The therapist first cleanses the scalp gently and assesses your dosha. You may receive a brief scalp massage with warm oil to relax muscles and improve circulation. The appropriate herbal paste is then prepared, usually combining ingredients like Brahmi, Jatamansi, Sandalwood, and Amalaki based on your condition.
A small round of thick herbal paste is placed at the crown of the head (often in a leaf or cloth cup) and secured to ensure it stays in place. You lie still for 30–45 minutes while the paste works.
